Bug with the point format

Friday, April 27th, 2007

We currently have a minor bug that shows your points on your member page with a European format for numbers. Instead of “1,500.00″ you will see “1 500,00″. So, if you have “600,00 pts”, it means that you have 600 points, not 600,000 points of course. We will fix this formatting bug as soon as we can. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.

Login issues - part 3

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Please accept our apologies if you have experienced issues logging to your member profile in the past two weeks.  The issue should now be fixed on the new login page.

Login issues - part 2

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

We have finally identified why some of you are having issues logging in to our new website.

Our new technology vendor is asking you to accept a cookie from them in order to login. If your Internet browser does not accept the cookie, you will see a “timed out” or “Your login has expired or your browser doesn’t accept cookies” error. Since the logged in pages are hosted by our vendor on the Cint.com domain, and not on the surveyexchange.com domain, your Internet browser may block “third party” cookies if the privacy settings are set too high.

We will fix this problem very soon by removing the iframe structure of the member area. In the meantime, see below a quick fix to let you lower your privacy settings on Internet Explorer in order to accept third party cookies:

  • In Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options
  • Choose the “Privacy” tab
  • Lower the privacy level to “low” or “accept all cookies”
  • close Internet Explorer and reload the page http://www.surveyexchange.com/login.htm

Another option was suggested by a member:

under the privacy tab, with security set at medium, click on the “sites” button. Type in http://surveyexchange.com. Click on the “allow” button.

You should now be able to login to your profile. Please let us know if it doesn’t work.

Thank you for your patience.

Rewards update

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

The RewardChoice gift certificates are now available on Survey Exchange.

As it was the case before, it is still possible to redeem a $10 RewardChoice gift certificate for 8,000 points.

In addition, we are now excited to introduce the $5 RewardChoice gift certificate, which can be redeemed for 4,500 points.  If you do the math, you understand that it is more interesting to wait a little longer and take more surveys with us to redeem a $10 certificate, but if you are impatient, we now give you the option to cash out earlier than before!

Note that, for a few days, a glitch in our system showed necessary amounts of 80,000 pts and 45,000 pts instead of ,000 pts and 4,500 pts.  The changes have been made and those of you who have 4,500 points or more can start to redeem your rewards.

Login issues

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Some of you have contacted us because of issues trying to login to the new Survey Exchange site.  Many of you receive a “session has timed out” message while trying to log in.  We are doing our best to fix that bug.  Thank you for your understanding.

Migration half completed

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Today, we successfully migrated the entire database to our new platform Survey Exchange. All members should now be able to login to their account by using their usual logins and password. Note that the points earned have not been transferred yet (this change will happen in the next 48 hours), so Beta testers will just see “0 points” on their account.
